Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club Championship Show - 13 April 2008
Would exhibitors please note that, due to illness our dog judge, Mr Billinghurst, has regrettably, had to withdraw from judging at our Championship Show on Sunday 13 April.
Mrs Brenda Taylor is the replacement judge for Mr Billinghurst (subject to KC approval).
This has been verbally approved but obviously not yet passed by the full KC committee.
I am sure we all wish Mr Billinghurst well and welcome Mrs Taylor on Sunday and hope you all have an enjoyable day.
From Mike Foster:
"Mark has asked me to pass on his apologies to everyone who had entered under him at the Club Show and is very disappointed that he has had to withdraw from this appointment. As some of you will know a year or so ago he contracted a nasty attack of shingles and this has left him with Post Herpetic Neuraligia (PHN) - this happens when the virus damages nerves during the shingles outbreak. Whilst there are various forms of treatment used to combat this, many have unpleasant side effects, and to a great extent it is a case of living with the condition. At the moment he is experiencing a fair amount of discomfort not to say pain with this, added to which his arthritis has flared up. Under the circumstances he would at the present moment simply be unable to carry out the appointment and he thought it best to advise the Secretary now rather than wait until the end of the week to see whether there was any improvement. It would not have been fair to the Club to leave things to the last moment before considering withdrawing and as much as he was looking forward to the appointment he felt it fairest to contact the club now.
"As I say he is bitterly disappointed, we were both very much looking forward to the show."
Mark & Mike (Nouveau Papillons UK)
